Enjoy once in a lifetime the Italian most famous historical event in Siena. You will reach Siena by noon, driving through the most impressive country trails and stopping at Monteriggioni to visit the only Medieval village still surrounded by original walls in Italy. We will have lunch in the heart of the historical city centre and then climb up to our roof top around 4.30pm to watch the historical parade entering the “Shell”, as Piazza del Campo is called, where the Palio will take place.
Palio of Siena
July 2nd and August 16th Palio races and trials in adjoining days
At 7.30pm the Mossa starts and then no one knows how long will it take for the Palio to be won…You will have a striking view of the square and of the event from the top of an old tower overlooking Siena’s most beautiful monuments. You will have all facilities there, avoiding the tiring waiting standing in the square (without toilets, waters, seats). At the end of the Palio, enjoy a typical dinner along the rejoicing contradas.
