The region of Lunigiana is an historical territory of Italy, which today falls within the provinces of La Spezia and Massa Carrara. Our four stunning villas overlook the valley of Licciana Nardi. The town was built around the 12th century and sits beside the Taverone River.

Located just one hour north of Pisa, surrounded by private, landscaped gardens with panoramic views over the Apuane and Appenine mountains, this is the ideal place to call your home whilst in Tuscany. Situated within a short drive of the Cinque Terre, Portovenere and Lucca, our guests also enjoy short trips down to the beautiful seaside town of Lerici, once a home to Shelley, Byron and D. H. Lawrence.

The four luxury Tuscan villas boast private swimming pools, pizza ovens, BBQ facilities, beautifully landscaped gardens and breathtaking views. Our village house has a hot tub. From a private cook, to Italian cooking classes and even outdoor movie nights to keep the children entertained, all your needs can be catered for.

Villa 1 – is a large 2 storey village house – the ideal place to call your Tuscan home from home.

Surrounded by magnificent views over the Apuane and Apennine mountains, the villa was beautifully restored in 2021. It is spacious, fully equipped, has a private hot tub, wood-fired pizza oven, BBQ facilities and wonderful outdoor area. The perfect get away for trekking, hiking and cycling in authentic Tuscany.

Villa 2 – the largest of all villas, 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and large open plan living space.

Fully equipped with private pool, terraced gardens, wood-fired pizza oven and BBQ facilities. The terraced gardens are stunning.

Villa 3 – is a large, spectacular, newly renovated villa maintaining its original charme and features. With 4 bedrooms, all with ensuites, walk-in showers and a bath, the villa provides luxury accommodation for couples or families.

Its private pool and terraces overlook the beautiful Apuane mountains to the south and the Apennines to the north.
The large terrace is perfect for relaxing and as the sun goes down, eating al fresco. It is very well equipped with American fridge-freezer, ice maker, coffee machine and beautifully presented. Built around the original stone farmhouse, it now has modern facilities within its own landscaped garden, pool and lawn area. It on the edge of a small
borgo (hamlet) in the beautiful region known as Lunigiana. Villa Lunigiana has its own BBQ and wood-fired pizza oven. There is a shared boule (bocce) court which is ideal for all ages, and a kitchen garden.We can accommodate up to 8 adults and/or children (in total) and a baby under 2 years.

Villa 4 – is fully equipped and has a private infinity pool, pizza oven BBQ facilities, access to our lovingly tended kitchen garden and bocce court (petanque/boule).

We grow vegetables, herbs and fruit,  and welcomes those who would like to pick some fresh produce for an evening meal. Add some herbs, pick some fresh tomatoes or fruit or try some mint in a cocktail.

Workshops and events

With a total of 30 sleeps, Villas Lunigiana are perfect to welcome small weddings and events. The gardens can accommodate marquees for up to 50 pax seated. More sleeps are available in short distance in B&B or agriturismo.
Moreover, the charming atmosphere and mesmerizing views makes it the perfect location for yoga, painting and photo retreats, where one can seek for silence and re-connection with nature.
