Discover the wildest and greenest side of Tuscany with Stefano. The Apuan Alps and the Appenines, along with vineyards and olive groves are perfect starting point to experience the nature, traditions, history and faunistic realm of Tuscany mountans and hillside.
Trails will be selected according to your training, age, family group or likes.

The apuan alps, unique mountains between the sea and the sky

Walk Duration (aproximately) 4 hours
Difficulty: Moderate
A walk to discover one of the peaks of the Apuan Alps, a mountain chain famous worldwide for its fantastic white marble but also it’s rich geological, natural and historical sites. The destination of this walk will be decided according to the season.

From the famous walls of Lucca we reach the Monti Pisani following the arches of the monumental acqueduct that has brought water to the city since the XIXth century. At the end of the arches we discover a rare and magical place – a succession of little waterfalls cutting through a fairy tale meadow, just a few short steps from the city.

The walk starts outside the village of Marlia and, follows an ancient mule track. As we climb we cross through forests of holm oaks, vineyards and olive grooves. On reaching the village of Matraia we relax enjoying the gorgeus views.
We return by a different path, passing some of the most beautiful villas of the area.
