Michelangelo’s tour in Versilia

Our tour has started on the river Serra, whose bed is a wide surface of white marble coming from the Mount Altissimo. We have driven up to Azzano, where our guide Jan from Sculpting & Arts at Campo-Altissimo instructed us on their activities and classes. Michelangelo used to move around the area and in fact the rosewindow of the small church at La Cappella is attributed to him. The place is now used as carving workshop for students from all over the world. Driving down we have stopped in a fairy tale location to taste the delicious products by @Azienda_Lorenzoni presented by his charming owner. In the afternoon we stopped in Pietrasanta and had the chance to meet artists at work…and have some special anticipations on new exhibitions.
