Last year top requests focused on Winery tours, Cinque terre experience and Marble quarries and art shops day trip. I have toured many wineries in the area of Lucca and Montecarlo as well as Bolgheri, walking in vineyards, tasting in stylish cellars and even harvesting. I wish 2017 will bring me back to Chianti again and to my lovable Brunello in Montalcino.
In Cinque Terre, despite the efforts of the railway company and institutions to make flows more organized, the crazy crowds of cruisers are still filling the tiny alleys of the villages. Last year, I have opted for more boat tours and enjoyed the Cinque terre by the sea in the quite and relaxing lull of the waves.
The tour of the marble quarries and Pietrasanta has become more and more accurate with new art atelier visits and some additional stops in Carrara for a stroll around its historical centre and Seravezza, where Michelangelo lived for a period.
During September and October, I have come back to Garfagnana, my favourite tour, to meet food artisans, wine makers and my friend and gourmet Andrea in Castelnuovo Garfagnana.
However, 2016 has been mostly characterized by wedding and elopments all over Tuscany and Liguria and a special wedding proposal in Vernazza, Cinque Terre, probably the event that mostly touched me. From villas, to beaches, wine resort, cottages, from Siena to Volterra, San Sepolcro and Levanto…I was overwhelmed and thrilled by all these emotions. Thanks to all my brides! (and grooms of course 😉
Last but not least, we have contributed to make trips to Tuscany and Italy special for families and couples that spent their trips around Florence, Chianti, Rome, Umbria, Amalfi coast, Venice, Verona, Bologna and Maranello to the Ferrari Museum. Let me stress the intention to keep selecting the best vendors and inspecting the best locations to make you satisfied with your choice!
